What an adventure

I have always shied away from blogging because it seems odd to me that anyone would want to know what I m doing or thinking. But as one who is constantly writing books, I am finishing up the work on four books currently, I obviously think that I have something to say to the world. So I'll set aside my misgivings and start to blog. This may spawn dialogues about my work and comments about what people find likable or not likable -- both viewpoints would be quite welcome.

My first observation is that I have been working for the better part of two days not setting up this website. I have to say that Wix offers a good option for getting started with setting up a basic site like this one. But there has been a bit of a learning curve. As a man in my early 70s who is reinventing himself as a fiction writer after a career as an academic, perhaps I am not as nimble as any of the younger folk. But I've got time and enough energy to try to persevere.
